Rodney resided in Sussex County before settling in Hillside, where he lived for more than 20 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and was employed by Maritime Trucking, Newark for over 20 years.
Beloved husband of Jean Anderson. Loving father of Michele Orr, Jason Anderson, David Anderson, Kelly Ward, Brett Anderson, Denise Dutko, and the late Anthony Anderson. Adoring grandfather of Brandon Dutko, Alex Dutko, Hope Bryant, Devon Nunley, Taylor Nunley (Orr), Logan Nunley (Orr), Max Anderson, Zack Anderson, Samantha Anderson, Ella Ward, and Ethan Ward; great-grandfather of Ezra Bryant . Dear brother of Debbie Cordeiro and the late Rebecca Diuro. He is also survived by his step-daughter Erica DaSilva and his step-granddaughter Milania DaSilva, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 27th from 4-8 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union. A service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 28th at 11AM. Cremation will be private.
