Ronald Sylvester Rock

Ronald was born in Elizabeth, NJ and lived in Union for 42 years. He was employed as a Revenue Agent by the IRS, Newark since 1971 and retired in 1994. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Union. Ronald was a fun loving guy, who enjoyed good wine and good food.

Beloved husband of 48 years to Barbara Rock. Dear brother of Janet McBurney and her husband Barry, and brother-in-law of Robert Chervy. He was predeceased by his parents Sylvester and Lena Rock and his brother Lawrence G. Rock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 29th from 4-8 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Michael’s Church, Union on Wednesday, July 30th at 10:15 AM, with entombment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
