He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 17th, 1956 to his adoring parents, Thomas and Lorraine DePalma. As an American Italian he was raised in Staten Island and made his way to New Jersey where he started to grow his family.
Thomas was a jack of all trades, with multiple careers under his belt. He always gave his best in everything that he did. No matter how busy life got, he never lost sight of what mattered most — his family. He retired from Federal Express in 2024 after thirty years of service in maintenance and fire inspection.
He was a man of strength and warm smiles. Thomas lived a life rooted in simple joys and strong values. He was rarely seen without a smile on his face, and enjoyed the company of his children and family.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas and Michael DePalma, two daughters, Sienna and Danielle DePalma and two grandchildren, Scarlett and Tristian.
Thomas loved his family. Some of his happiest moments were spent with them—telling stories over dinner, dancing, laughing at old jokes, and watching old movies.
A memorial for Thomas will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083.
