William F. Fitzgerald, 79, of Union passed away at Overlook Hospital on March 27, 2012. Beloved husband of 50 years to Geraldine (nee Mc Namara). Dear father of Colleen Fitzgerald. Brother of James Fitzgerald and his wife Clair. Bill is also survived by many loving neices and nephews. Funeral will be held from the McCracken Funeral home 1500 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday April 4th at 8:30 AM with a mass being offered at Holy Spirit Church, Union at 9:30 AM. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover will follow. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 30 E 33rd St. NY, NY 10016 or the Charity of your choice.
Bill was employed as a Manager of Laboratory Operations Qualty Assurance for Schering Plough, Union before retirment. He served in the US Army, was an usher and euchiristic minister at Holy Spirit Church and was a past president of the 60+ club at the church.
