

was born on June 12, 1938 and was a lifetime resident of Rancho Cucamonga.
He began his career in the automotive repair industry working with his father in the
family-owned business known as Leo & Son's Garage in Cucamonga. His military service began
in 1959 with the U.S. Army and he was stationed in Germany.
He attended Chaffey College and earned an Associate in Science degree in Automotive
Technology.
He had a 27-year career with the U.S. Postal Service, entering as an Automotive
Mechanic and successfully retiring in 1992 as a Fleet Maintenance Manager. Tony met his wife,
Sylvia, in 1961 and they were married in 1964. Together they raised two daughters and made
their home in Rancho Cucamonga.
Tony had a creative mind and designed his own ideas for landscaping his yard. He could
fix just about anything and could make or modify a tool to accomplish any task. He enjoyed
country music and Mexican food.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sylvia, two loving daughters, Anita Kolly (Dan) of
Yucca Valley and Kristine Ramirez of San Clemente. Seven grandchildren, Jacob, Mitchell and
Joshua Gustin, Desiree Walston, Ashley Kahau, Crystal Alvarez and Gabrielle Briz; five great-
grandchildren, Ava, Bradley and Ronin Kahau, Cameo Briz and Mannex Alvarez. Tony is also
survived by three sisters, Josie Urquizu of Alta Loma, Dolores Gonzalez of Los Angeles and
Patricia Garcia of Ontario and was predeceased by his sister, Ida King.
Services will he held on Wednesday, June 14, at St. Peter & St. Paul Catholic Church,
9135 Banyan Street, Alta Loma. Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M. and Mass will follow at 11:00
A.M. Entombment with military honors will follow at Bellevue Mausoleum, Ontario.
