children, lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by
family and in the loving arms of his wife of 61 years. Dale was 81.
Dale was born on October 6, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Don and Neva (Patterson) Eazell.
On September 8, 1956, he married Sharon Ann Wilson. Together they raised two sons, Mike
and Mark, and two daughters, Debbie and Kristy.
Dale received both his B.S. & M.S. at San Francisco State University specializing in
Rehabilitation Counseling. His Ph.D, earned in 1994, specialized in Health Services
Management where he already had some 30 years of practical experience. Before retiring
from Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation in 1999, Dale started a Foundation that had
raised nearly $90 million dollars for its continuing growth and ongoing success. Dale also
loved tools and owned nearly every tool developed; the only problem was that he didn’t
know how to use them. Fortunately, his 2 sons did and enjoyed knowing they could pop up
to Dad’s and borrow them at any time. Dale also considered himself a gourmet. You could
often find him fine dining at Costco where his hot dog was slathered in only the finest
mustard, relish & onion. However, his greatest passion was in his devotion to his Lord and
Savior and in helping others who may be less fortunate. His latest ministry to provide
veterans in need and others less fortunate with a furnished home or apartment gave him
great joy and fulfillment until the end.
Dale is survived by his wife and best friend, Sharon. Dale was also extremely loving and
proud of his children, Mike (Cheril) Eazell and Mark (Teri) Eazell both from Upland and
Debbie (Ben) Diurba and Kristy (Mark) Hurley from Alta Loma. He is also survived by his
sister Diane; 5 grandchildren, Casey, Sara, Brian, Cory and Jennifer; 1 great-grandchild,
Bradley; as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Upland will host the celebration of Dale’s incredible life on
Monday, September 10th. A Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 will precede a
gathering for friends and family to reminisce and enjoy memories of Dale.
Dale will be laid to rest at Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario at 10:00am on Tuesday, September
11th where all his family and friends are welcome.
If you would like to honor Dale’s commitment to his charities, Memorial donations may be
