Age 76, died at Redlands Community Hospital on May 22, 2012 after battling several years with Alzheimer's disease. It is suspected that John experienced a heart attack and died peacefully shortly thereafter. He was born August 21, 1935 in Fontana, CA where he spent his childhood until he married Josie Ramirez. John worked hard all his life beginning with Quality Control for the aerospace industry and eventually buying Foothill Liquors for his father-in-law, Leo Ramirez, where he continued building the successful family business. John retired in 1997 and spent his time at the family home in Alta Loma enjoying his mountain view and the glorious gardens he and his loving wife, Josie nurtured. John was the youngest of 8 children and is survived by his devoted wife, Josie; 4 children, Jeanne (Nelson), Julie, Jim, Johnny, Jr. and 1 grandson Joshua. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m., Wednesday (05/30/12) with Rosary at 7:00 PM at St. Peter & St. Paul Catholic Church, Alta Loma. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Thursday (05/31/12) at the Church.
