Muriel was born on August 21, 1931, in Los Angeles, grew up with her three sisters, Corinne, Marilyn, and Lois, and graduated from Saint Andrew’s Catholic School. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Jack Hamman, and they were together for 71 years until his passing in 2021.
In the early years of their marriage Muriel had a full time job raising a family of five kids; Don (spouse: Mary Ann), Steve (spouse: Joyce), Chuck (spouse: Terri), Colleen, and Karen. When the kids were older she went to work with Jack managing his optician's office. Muriel’s legacy lives on through her family and those who knew her, as will the sense of humor, laughter, and love she shared every day.
In retirement, Muriel and Jack spent their time spinning around on the square dancing floor, travelling the country in a motorhome, enjoying golf, where she was known for her consistently straight drives up the fairway, and playing bridge.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to send donations to the charity of their choice.
