

Palm Joseph Diederich Jr., age 96, was born to parents Palm Sr. and Emily Diederich on May 31, 1927. A sister, Dorothy, had been born six years previous. He served in the U.S. Navy in World Warr II. He married Evelyn Hartley on September 7, 1947. This union resulted in a son, David, in 1954. He entered the safe business in 1947 to later become a Master Safe Technician. He used his knowledge & skill teaching others nationwide how to become Safe Technicians. He became a part owner in the Safe Manufacturing business in 1975. He was a much respected Safeman until an accident caused his retirement in 1990. He married Jeanne King in 1980. This union increased his family to three sons, Jon & Mark King and David Diederich and 7 grandchildren. Freddie, Joshua, Srah, ridge, Adam, David Joel, and William.
Dee & Jeanne moved to Hemet in 1989. It was a small retirement community at that time. They later watched it grow into a suburb of Riverside County. Dee & Jeanne loved to travel and explore the many beauties of nature this nation has to offer. Their first travels were by car, then later a succession of Motorhomes. Their travels enhanced their lives tremendously. It also made them appreciate their loving home whenever they returned to Hemet. But then, they would soon begin planning their next trip or adventure. They became members of the Good Sam Club shortly after they were married. They joined four Good Sam Chapters and became Horary Members of two others. They became Assistant Directors of the So. Ca. Good Sam organization. Dee was also a member of the Hemet Elks. He was a member & instructor of Aloha & CLA, national and state organizations of the safe & locksmith trade. He taught many locksmiths nationwide the tools of their trade prior to his retirement. He renewed his faith in the Catholic Church and attended St. Anthony's or any nearby Catholic Church when they were traveling. Now he has gone on to a new adventure and will reunite with his loving wife.
