I’m Parker’s sister, Dede, and I would like to share a few memories of him.
Parker was our older brother, and he babysat us.  One of my earliest memories is being four in Beaver, Pennsylvania, and my parents going out for the evening.  Parker must have been 12 at the time.  He was a very responsible babysitter.
My family moved quite a bit when we were younger due to my dad’s jobs.  Parker went to several schools in Montana, Alaska, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.  
We finally moved to California.  There Parker would take my brother and me to the movies.  I remember one scary movie, the Day the Earth Stood Still.
Parker and Richard had a miniature train set up in the attic.  It was very cool with all the little buildings and trees.  Getting into the attic was no small feat as we had to use a ladder!
Parker loved to play games, and I remember playing Clue with him and Richard.  I rarely won of course!
Parker came home on leave as much as he could after he joined the Air Force. I think he enjoyed his time in the Air Force and was stationed in California and Alaska.
After he and Helen got married, they bought a new house in Rancho Cucamonga.  He was very proud of it.  The area was very rural with sheep grazing across the street and vineyards everywhere.  
I remember Parker and Helen coming to all our family gatherings with little Chris.  There would be cousins for Chris to play with.
One last memory--Parker was an intellectual person and had many interests.  He loved to collect stamps and coins and had extensive collections.  It brought him a lot of happiness, and I remember him spending hours poring over his collections.
We miss and love you, Parker.  Rest in peace.
