Peter Andrew Karaban, 71, went home on April 9th, 2024 in Upland, California. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on New Year’s Eve, 12/31/1952, to Pete and Barbara Karaban. He grew up in Queens, New York with his parents and two sisters, Mary and Susan. At the age of 26, he took his dance moves and style to the west coast and moved to Southern California to work for the phone company. Later that year, it was there on the dance floor where he met his future wife, Margo. In 1981 they married, and he instantly became a father of three, soon to be four. He wore several different hats in the work force and was a true hardworking man. His favorite job endeavor was when he and his wife successfully ran a candy manufacturing business for 15 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Margo Karaban; daughters Shalea Karaban and Kimberlee Bryant (Chris); sons Wayne Walker (Karen), and Kenneth Short; grandchildren Samantha Morrissey (Tim), Ashlyn Bryant, Nicholas Dominguez, Austin Bryant, Jason Walker, and Julian Walker; great-granddaughters Isla Morrissey and Margot Elle Morrissey; sister Susan Maxwell; and nephews Ian Kurrus, Peter Kurrus, Harry Kurrus, and Liam Kurrus.
Pete could make a friend wherever he went, was a jokester, an upbeat kid at heart, and the life of the party. He will be missed greatly by his friends and family.
A luncheon and celebration of life will take place on May 18th, 2024 from 1:30-3:30 at 31989 Hollyhock Way, Lake Elsinore, CA 92532.
