

Steve joined his parents and sister Carole in heaven on June 1st, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born on April 18th, 1940 to William Carl and Dorothy Louise Lindenburg Baer in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Steve moved to Illinois in 1961 where he met Sharon (Sherry) Ullmer. They married in 1962 and are the parents of five children. He is survived by his wife, his children: Harold (Kim) and Laura Losquadro (Jim) of Rancho Cucamonga; Linda Williams (Bryan) of Laguna Niguel; Elizabeth Wakeman (Patrick) of San Diego; William (Starr) of New York and nine grandchildren: Stephen, Joseph, Alexa, Elizabeth (Tess), Olivia (Livvy), Grady, Bennett, Ellery and Renda; his sister Linda Dearing, his nieces Teri, Katie and Sara and their families’ of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and many friends. Steve attended Purdue University. He and Sherry lived in Milwaukee WI (where he ran for public office), Memphis TN, Duncanville TX, and settled in Rancho Cucamonga in 1976. In 1979 Steve founded “Its Daisy”, an information technology supplies/service company that continues as the family business in Rancho Cucamonga. An avid golfer and story teller, Steve also had a generous heart and always made time to give to the community. He enjoyed his many years volunteering at OPARC, on the YMCA Board and his Presidency of the Upland Rotary Club. The Baer family asks that you perform a random act of kindness in his name (which was his Rotary theme as President).
