Hey Girl,
I wanted to send you a birthday message, also this guest book will be gone in a few days and I felt like I should send one last note up to heaven for you. Today you would be 24, same as me. Twelve years ago we would be planning a time to kidnap you and whisk you away to Vince's! We would probably have a sleep over and laugh until we all peed our pants. Those are the memories I think of everyday, the ones full of laughter and joy. Happy Birthday Lasie, I love you tons! Hi Lasie!
In three days you will have been gone for a year. And in a week it will be your birthday. My heart is flooded with memories of going to Vince's to celebrate, finding the prettiest lotions and nail polishes for your birthday gifts. I also laugh remembering how much you LOVED being the same age as me for almost four months. When I moved here I didnt think I would ever make friends like I had in New York, but I met you and we were inseperable. I can remember waiting outside my house, watching to see your mom's red van drive by, you were home from school and it was time to play! We could play Barbies like nobody's business. So, so, so many things remind me of you everyday. I watch SNL and some of the skits remind me of things we used to do, we could have been a great comedy duo! I know that God has a plan and it was your time to go home, but I cant help but ask God why I couldnt have had a little more time, even one more day to really talk to you and share a last laugh. Most of my memories with you are filled with laughter, I can only pray when I meet you in heaven one day, our laughter will pick up where it left off. I love you Telassie, always have, always will! You are in my heart everyday and I cant imagine a day without thinking of you... <3

My Beautiful Cousin,

I think of you everyday, but even more so this time of year.  I recall so many wonderful memories of Christmases with you...always laughing, always smiling, always shining.  Our moms would take us to Disneyland every year right before Christmas, and we would ride Space Mountain, screaming "Jingle Bells" at the top of our lungs and laugh and laugh.  I will always remember singing Christmas carols and playing the piano together...laying under the Christmas tree and admiring the twinkly lights...you sticking your bubblegum on my bedroom wall and telling my dad you were "decorating for Christmas" when he yelled at us...you giving me the biggest, wettest kiss I've ever received after opening a present from me...too many memories to list them all.  I will cherish them forever.  I fondly remember our last Christmas together in 2004. We were still as silly and as fun as ever, but enjoying the holiday as "silly" young women instead of kids. I wish we could have more of those.  I miss you so very much. And love you even more. When I think of Christmas, I think of you. I love you, TJ. Merry Christmas, my love.

My Oldest Friend Telassie... I always remember you telling me I was probably your only friend who knew your full name, and knew how to spell it right. Halloween is going to be hard this year. This was our favorite time together growing up, dressing up and running the block getting candy. Last year I went to your house with my husband and son. You were working and your mom barely recognized me, but she was the same as always, so warm and loving, obviously where you got those qualities from! I miss you... dear child! Ha, I still remember so many inside jokes, and now there is no one to share them with. I love you Lasie and I know you up there watching over everyone that loved you. I think of you everyday! <3

My dear precious daughter.  I miss you so very much tonight.  We spent the weekend with Charity & Bill and Mady & Caleb and had such a wonderful time.  I think of you all the time and remember when you were here and how much you loved being with your sister and her family.  I think being back together with family meant the very most to you and I wish we had more time together.  You and Charity were getting closer and closer and you loved Billy....and those babies....they talk about you still and know you are in heaven and they want to come and visit with you.  Mady fell asleep on my chest last night holding my necklace that is a picture of you, her "Auntie Telassie who lives now in heaven".  They ask me about you often and Caleb has told his mama that you should be here because "Nana needs you."  Last night when I spent so much time with them baking cookies and making Halloween projects, I thought of you the entire time because you would have been there with us cooing and laughing with those precious 3 year old wonders.  Today, we all went up to Octoberfest as we always do.  We went to Luke and Jenn's new home in Arrowhead.  Darling little home.  They have pictures of you here and there and that really touched my heart.  I know you would want to be there too.  You loved that Luke (LNP) and you and Jenn would have hit it off so well.  She reminds me of you...she has beautiful green eyes just like you did and she wears her makeup so well...you would have approved.  We all had such a good time together and everything about the day was wonderful except we were missing one member of our family. You.  It all just seems like the picture is just a bit out of focus without you.  Charity and I were in the Coach store and the salesclerk saw the button on my purse of your picture and she said "is that your other daughter?" I said "yes" and she said "she is so pretty".  I said "yes she is".  My other daughter.  Such a queer statement...such a queer existence without you.  Charity, God bless her, just got this sad little look on her face and I loved her so much in that moment.  She is so precious and full of love and understanding and I felt bad that she was put in that somewhat awkward situation.  I put my arm around her and said "Let's go daughter" and she put her arm around me and we walked out of the store together and I whispered to God a quick "thank you" for her.  She is my "daughter" too and I just wish you were still here so we could have shared the moment together.  You would have loved it.  It seems odd, sometimes, to count your blessings when the greatest blessing of my life was my child, my little girl, my daughter who gave my last 23 years so much meaning and hope.  I miss you Telassie Jane and after the kids left, I cried and gasped for air as I had been holding that all in for so long.  I really enjoyed my family today and I didnt want to dampen anyones day.  I wish I could see you one more time, smell you, touch your cheek and hold you in my arms.  I wish you could hold me in your arms and rock me like you used to do...but I'll just have to wait. "I love you in a place where there's no space or time...I love you for my life you are a friend of mine...and when my life is over, remember when we were together...we were alone and I was singing a song to you."  I tried to sing that to Mady last night but I just could not.  That was sung only for you and will remain that way.  Now and then I sing it to the stars.  It's as close as I can get now.  Instead, I sang the Lord's Prayer to her and it seemed fitting.  She liked it.  Some times, when I hold her I remember holding you...3 years old and as sweet as a piece of candy.  I miss you Junior. Dearest Lasie Jane:  Hug Josie for me.  Run with her and remind her every day that she is so loved.  She was your dog...she chose you as a pup and I can still remember giving you your 11th birthday present, you opening it up and inside was a red denim dog collar and you knew immediately what it meant....that that little yellow lab puppy that always came to you when you visited the puppies, was finally going to be yours.  TD's Outlaw Josie of Jesse James was yours 1/27/1998.  She was a joy in our lives, as were you, and I am filled with visions of her in the car with Liddy taking you to school each morning, how she slept on a bed like a human with her head on the pillow, how ticklcious her feet were and how she almost talked to us when she yawned.  I remember her getting in the swimming pool with us and she would get up on the raft and float..taking her and Liddy to the cabin with us that time with you and Luke and putting sweatshirts on them because it was so darn cold there.  Then on the way home, she pooped in the van and you and Luke were so disgusted but Dad and I laughed so hard cuz it was almost like payback on you two kids, just for being kids.  Josie loved you and us and everyone she ever me.  She was the most precious disposition of any dog I have ever known.  Liberty misses her so badly and I do as well, and yet, I envision her with you...running through fields of sunflowers, flopping over onto her back and with belly up just rolling in the grass just like she did the last time I took her out into the field out back of our home which I did almost daily.  I held her close as she slipped over to heaven and I kept telling her how pretty she was and to look for you and Liddy.  Josie was pure love and acceptance.  She was you.  I will forever miss you both but my heart knows you have your pup once again and I know Josie couldn't be happier.  Enjoy each other my loves, until I am with you again. xo

I can't believe its already been almost 9 months. Life is weird without you. Since 7th grade, you and me have been those kinda best friends that fight and then are unseperable, and it makes me laugh when i think about it, but Lasie you and me had some amazing times together!! I have memories with you that i will NEVER forget! I feel like a large part of the reason i am who i am today is because of you. I know i wouldnt be the same if you hadn't been in my life. I miss you so much and i think about you ALL THE TIME. i just wish i could hear your voice one more time, or hug you one more time, or laugh with you one more time. My favorite thing was when you and i used to just sit there and crack up uncontrollably to the point where people were staring or telling us to shut up, but we never cared. :) you were an amazing person and i know so many people loved you. i miss you so much, and i hope that we get to see each other again one day. i love you lasie, so much. i dont think i could ever truly express the impact you had on my life. rip beautiful angel.

lasie, i know we didnt talk much the last couple years but i know that i would not be the person that i am today, if it wasnt for you and your parents. My childhood would have been so empty and boring without you. man we had soo much fun, wagon rides, sleeping bag fights sneaking into the kitchen to get food when everyone else was sleepin, trying not to pee our pants and TRYING to be quite lol. The cabin. sledding in bathing suits. Chasing your brother and sean around-sticking notes under their door. lol trampoline. go karts, the river.  everything we did together we had a blast.i feel so lucky to have had you as a friend. i cherish all our memories now more than ever and its still really hard to believe that the person i shared my childhood with is gone. I cant wait to see your beautiful face and hear your laugh again. Thank you for being such an amazing friend I love you tons. And miss you terribly

My darling daughter.  Six months ago today you left this world to spend eternity in God's promised kingdom and for that I praise God.  As your mom, I miss you beyond any words and you still consume my every thought and movement throughout the day.  You were and still are a most beautiful spirit.  What I would give to touch you and smell your life scent and hear your lovely laugh.  I seem to most miss you running your fingers through my hair as you always did.  Sometimes, its as though I can feel you do it, it comes back so vividly.  At 6 months, I think I have just come to fully accept that you are no longer here and it breaks my heart because in accepting it feels like letting go and I dont want to let go - of you.  I await the day when I am in God's glory with you but until then I will take Jesus' words from Luke 17:20 into my heart when He said "the kingdome of Heaven is among you."  Other translations state "within you" or "in your midst" and though I understand the context of His statement was in a delivery to God's people that He was not a military messiah, I do take to heart that where Jesus is, you are and if Jesus is among, within or in my midst, there also are you.  I can only imagine but I can also find comfort in the words of my Savior....knowing you are in the clouds of witnesses that accompany Him.  I love you so very much my child, my junior, my love, my life.  Until we meet again.  xo mom

Our loving thoughts of Lassie are with us again today. I have been thinking so much about her.  I hope she is up in heaven singing and laughing with my Mom I just wanted to write something today (July 7th 2010) to say that she is not forgotten that her memories live on and when the beautiful clouds roll by, a gentle wind, a sparkling star twinkles in the night sky it is my Mom and Lassie letting us know that they are alright.

A day has never passed by where I don't think about you! You were my best friend, & my sister (must of been the hair!!) Your smile lit up a room like never before. Your laugh was contagious and anyone in the same room would be on the floor rolling with you ready to wet their pants! I have never met anyone that understands me like you do. We completed each others sentences & said what eachother were thinking! We have been through the tough roads and back but still manage to always be there for one another! I miss you soooo much! Ayden was lucky enough to meet you. I wish Aubrey had the chance as well. You will always be with me in my memory and on my arm. No one can ever replace that lady bug which is you! I can't thank your mom and dad enough for welcoming me as I am! I thought they were the coolest most understanding parents ever! My beautiful girl, my Puss, my Junior, my angel, my Lasie Jane:  Today is 4/20/10 and the heartbreak of losing you is as painful today as it was three months ago.  Maybe more.  I miss you like one would miss breathing and in rereading these lovely messages I needed to add one of my own.  Every minute of every day I think of you and feel the emptiness in our home, hearts and lives.  You brought so much joy to your Dad and me.  Even your little 2 yr. old nephew Caleb asked me just this past weekend, when he threw up his hands "Where did Aunti go? Where'd she go?"  I miss your soothing way with me and your ability to make me smile even when I was angry with you; the cute things you'd say, your smell, your feet.  Having you in my life made me feel safe, valued and have some purpose.  Honey, I know you passed the test of this life, the test that God gives us "to read  the instructions all the way before you answer any questions; In doing so, the last instruction is to simply write your name on the top of the page and hand in the test.  Your name was written on the top of the page of God's test.  You handed it in long ago.  You passed God's test.  Thank you.  Because of that I know I will be with you again someday in God's presence/kingdom.  For now though, I remain here on this earth and Dad and I struggle so without you.  He can't eat at the dinner table, you're not there at his side anymore and he wants to hear you laugh one more time.  I just want you.  My life will be long without you and I pray that God stops my tears soon cuz you are not here to stroke my head and hold my hand.  You loved me like no one ever has.  It was so good wasn't it?  What a wonderful life we had.  You were a gift from God.  My child; a totally unexpected gift 23 years ago.  A gift that defined me and formed me and gave me such joy.  You taught me to "see".  Because of you I learned to "taste and see that the Lord is good" for He has been so very good to me.  I know he scooped you up and saved you in the moment of your death. It has just been one week today since Lasie's breathtaking celebration of life memorial service. 
As we sat in the beautiful church and looked out at the white puffy clouds that slowly moved across the mountains, it was evident that Lasie was looking down at her family & friends and knew how much she was loved. We wish you strength & peace in the days ahead.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I frequented the Salon that Lassie was a receptionist at in Rancho Cucamonga. My Daughter, Danielle knew Lassie and worked with her at the Salon. Danielle has been crushed by the news of Lassie's passing. Our family prayers are with all of you. This was something that just didn't have to happen. God Bless you all. Dear Jim and Robin,

Thank you for allowing Sally and I to share our thoughts and memory of the wonderful times our kids had together. They are missed in a physical term but never missed in our hearts and mines. Together they will watch over all of us till we join them again when God calls us. As family we now have a mutual bond that many hopefully will never have to know. God pick our kids for a different mission at a higher level. They together will assure us that they are happy and would want the same for all of us. My son, Patrick Brown, is old friends with Jason.  Although I did not meet Lasie, I heard many times, "I'm going over to hang out with Jason and Lasie."  Jason and Patrick graduated together from UHS. Patrick is currently about half way through Navy boot camp, and communication is very limited (no phone calls, mail once a week).  When I finally see him at his graduation (in Chicago Navy base) in March, I will tell him about Lasie. I know he would be here if he could. I will send a contribution to the animal shelter for Lasie, in Patrick's name. She must have had a soft heart, to love animals so much!  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Alexis (Patrick's mom)
