

Departed this life on June 28th, 2014. She was born to Ezra E. and Edna E. Neeley on October 20th, 1922 in Tiffin Ohio. A graduate of Old Fort High School at Old Fort Ohio, she also attended Tiffin University. After High School, she became employed as a Glass Designer for Tiffin Glass Company. She then served her country during World War II coding messages for the War Department at Wright Patterson Airfield. After the War ended, she moved to California from Ohio and married Richard E. Bowman, they lived in Montrose Ca. where she worked as a Technical Service Engineer at General Controls Co. for 15 years. After moving to Diamond Bar in the early 1960's, she is known for starting the first Girl Scout troop in Diamond Bar as well as serving her community as a Poll Worker for many years, she also worked at L.A. Fitness and Oak Tree Lanes as a Child Care Provider. In her spare time, she pursued her love for Arts and Crafts. Together with her husband Richard they were residents of Diamond Bar for over 40 years before her moving to Brethren Hillcrest Homes in La Verne. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Pomona Ca. There are two daughters surviving, Barbara Lynn (Bowman) Neuman, and Joette (Bowman) Bryan, she is preceded in death by her husband and a son. Grandchildren are Singeon Jurado, Mikaela Grace and Tara Alexis Bryan. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to her community. Services will be held at Stone Funeral Home 355 East Ninth Street Upland Ca. and conducted by Rev. Dale Smith. Burial will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
