Amos Lingo, 86, of Van Buren, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Van Buren. He was born February 19, 1924 in Rudy, Arkansas. He was retired from the Van Buren water department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Lingo-Sharrah; and a son, Robert Lingo.
He was survived by three daughters, Mary Katherin Terrill of Alma, AR, Barbara McGlasson of Cameron, OK, and Linda Jones of Alma, AR; one son, Claude A. Lingo of Alma, AR; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joey Terrill, Fred Terrill, Robert Lingo, Larry Bernard, Jason Johnson, and Jack Knight.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Jones, James Thacker, and Randall Rush.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
