Ben White, 70, of Van Buren, AR, died Friday, December 16, 2011 in a local hospital. He was born February 15, 1941 in St. Joe, AR to Clyde and Lenora White. He was a retired high school teacher for Witts Springs and West Grove school districts. He was preceded in death by a son, Ben Fred White; a brother, Rex White; and a sister, Drucilla Fleeman.
He is survived by his wife, Eva White, of the home; a daughter, Mary Gilbertson and husband Wayne of Fayetteville, AR; a son, Clyde Owen White and wife Marinda of St. Joe, AR; a sister, Charlene Munden of Kingman, AZ; a brother, Don White of St. Joe, AR; and five grandchildren, Cladie, Cayde, Callie, Ethan, and Wayne.
Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in St. Joe, AR. Mr. White will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
