Beverly Joan Clark (Reeve), 85, of Danville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at her home. She was born June 27, 1937 in Sheridan, WY to the late Sidney and Annabelle (Lough) Branch. In the late 1960's she moved from Wyoming to Alaska and was one of the first Women Air Traffic Controllers in the country. She retired as Chief of Flight Service for the FAA in Ukiah, CA. She moved to Mountainburg in 2000, and shortly thereafter opened Oak Hollow Ice Cream Parlor, then later The Crawdad Hole and BBQ Restaurant. Regulars of The Crawdad Hole loved to see her do The Chicken dance. She loved the musicians that came to play and sing. She was very artistic; her knitting and crocheting will be passed down for generations. Could she paint? . . . "if it didn't move . . . she painted it''! She will be remembered for starting the Mountainburg Children's Christmas Party and later the Mountainburg Christmas Parade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robertson who passed in 2014 in Mountainburg.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Reeve of Danville, and his loving and supportive family; five daughters, Debbie Brown of Utah, Tamerah Bonniville and Pam Harris, both of Arkansas, Dawnah Harris of Washington, and Chris Jamieson of Alaska; also, The Daughter of Her Heart "Sweet Darling Jill"; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. A family-hosted memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountainburg City Hall designated for the Children's Christmas Party.
