Bill Berna

Bill G. Berna, 83, of Alma, went to our Lord Saturday, June 29, 2013 at a local hospital. He was born May 23, 1930 in Alma to the late Frank and Dora Berna. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for California Textile Mill in Hanford, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Tessie Berna of the home; a daughter, Brenda Riley of Alma; three sons, Rick Berna, Terry Berna, and Brian Berna, all of California; a sister, Mary Ragsdale of Fort Gibson, OK; fifteen grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

The family will host a memorial service 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Solid Rock Tabernacle in Alma, with interment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Newberry Cemetery in Alma. Burial is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Rick Berna, Terry Berna, Jim Riley, Gary Kelly, Jason Dowdy, John Dowdy, Jason Riley, and Nathan Berna.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
