Bob C. Main

Loving father and grandfather, Bob Main, 89, of Fort Smith, formerly of Kansas City, MO, entered into eternal peace Monday, July 13, 2015. He was born March 3, 1926 in Lucerne, MO to the late Charley and Lavelle Clark Main. He married Gloria Bury in 1949, and moved to Fort Smith in 1979. He was the owner/operator of BC Main Construction, a member of the Northside United Pentecostal Church, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Main; a sister, Darlene Smith; and two brothers, Bill Main, and Jim Main.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Jones and husband Steve of Kansas City, MO; a son, Greg Main and wife Susan of Smithville, MO; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; as well as, numerous friends who were blessed to know him.

Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Committal service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, MO, under the direction of White Chapel Funeral Home of Gladstone.

The family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to the funeral hour at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
