

Daniel P. Gallagher, 80, of Mulberry, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at his home. He was born April 5, 1941 in Philadelphia to the late Edward and Juanita Gallagher, Sr. He was retired from Dixie Cup, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was an avid canoeist and outdoorsman, and loved bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Rose of the home; two daughters, Lestene Perceful and husband Dennis of Fort Smith, and Cecilia Stringer of Mulberry; three sons, Daniel “Skip” Gallagher, Jr. of Texas City, TX, Shannon Gallagher and wife Tracy of Fort Smith, and Brian Gallagher of Mulberry; two sisters, Wanda Sachs of New Jersey, and Peggy White of Houston; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith with cremation to follow, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Peewee Parsons, Troy Hughes, Chuck Gullory, Gary Luttrell, Bradley Martin, and Cody Elliott.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
