He is survived by his wife, Laura Abel of the home; a daughter, Liberty Boblett and husband Dennis of Mulberry; a son, David Abel II and wife Dr. Kendra of Fort Smith; two brothers, Jim and Joe Abel, both of Alma; two grandchildren, Gus and Lydia Boblett; his fur babies, Alf, Moose, and Gypsi; and granddogs, Iki and Claire.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
