Dorothy Petersen, 89, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born January 7, 1933 in Inglewood, CA to the late Myron and Isabell (Demming) Ling. She was a retired bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Petersen; and a brother, Ted Ling.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Petersen and Debra Humphrey, both of Van Buren; a son, John Petersen of Orange, CA; two sisters, Pat Brown of Bozeman, MT, and Sue Evans of Castle Rock, CO; a brother, Dave Ling of Littleton, CO; four grandchildren, Nola Bowers, Katie Washington and husband Adam, Mark Stewart and wife Amber, and Diana Petersen; four great-grandchildren, Zane Allen and wife Ashley, Chase Allen, Emma Stewart, and Hayden Stewart; and a great-great-grandchild, Axelle Allen.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time.
