Dwain Brodie, 81, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born September 14, 1944 in Whittier, CA to the late Blakemore and Nellie (Moon) Brodie. He was a dental technician and owned Van Buren Lab.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel Brodie.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Brodie of the home; daughter, Kimberly Safonov and husband John of Van Buren; three sons, Stephen Brodie and his wife Leslie of Branson, Daniel Brodie and his wife Mindy of Van Buren, David Brodie and his wife Dani of Fort Smith; two sisters, Carolyn Martin of Fort Smith and Debbie Gilreath and husband Mickey of Van Buren; brother, Wendell Brodie and his wife Libby of Fort Smith; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Family hosted memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Homestead Heights, 4307 N 6th St, Fort Smith. under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Viewing and visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
