Gene Weldon Robertson

Gene Weldon Robertson, 91, of Rudy, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born August 29, 1932 in Pindall, Arkansas to the late Ott and Goldie (Dickey) Robertson. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Waldo Robertson; and a sister-in-law, Lorene Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Robertson of the home; a daughter, Becky Williams (Key) of Searcy; two sons, Warren Robertson (Christie) of Alma, and Brent Robertson (Jennifer) of Rudy; eight grandchildren, Jessica Williams Files, Amber Williams Kraus, Kaylie Robertson Fry, Brittany Simmons, Destin Emerson, Isaac Emerson, Caleb Robertson, and Chase Davis; and twelve great-grandchildren, Paul Kraus, Ruth Kraus, Logan Fry, Jackson Fry, Max Fry, Lily Simmons, Alek Simmons, Abel Emerson, Amelia Emerson, Grace Brantley, Ryleigh Davis, and Addi Davis.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with committal being held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
