Gerald Alvin Henson

Gerald Alvin Henson, 72, of Cedarville, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Fort Smith. He was born October 4, 1950 in Fort Smith to the late Lonzo and Virginia (Clark) Henson. He was a refrigeration tech and a volunteer firefighter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Henson; and two brothers, Sanford and William Henson.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Henson of the home; three daughters, Lois Roling, Susan Payne, and Barbara Preston and husband Greg, all of Cedarville; a son, Gerald "Bubb" Henson and wife Tamara of Cedarville; two sisters, Deloris Wesley and Elaine Williams, both of Cedarville; a brother, Lee Henson of Van Buren; seventeen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Salem Cemetery in Cedarville, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Andy Richesin, Josh Jameson, John Wesley, Gary Strauss, Krista Jameson, and David Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
