Irene R. Moore, 86, of Alma, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at her home. She was born in Panama to the late Alexander and Maria (Leon) Witkowski. She had been a caregiver, had worked at Parks Brothers Nursery, and was a partner with her husband in a landscaping business.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Moore.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Moore and wife Cathy and Doug Moore and wife Joellen, all of Van Buren; two sisters, Frances Festing and husband Tom of Ohio, and Elizabeth Mastropietro of Virginia; three brothers, Guy Witkowski, Page Witkowski of Panama, and Joe Witkowski of Virginia; and a grandson, Jacob Moore and wife Hailee of Van Buren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. A private burial will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
