
J. W. “Hawk” Kendrick, 84, of Barling, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Van Buren. He was born May 27, 1929 in Centerville, AR to the late Lon and Pearl Kendrick. He was a retired house painter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of the home; three daughters, Sandra Denman of Denton, TX, Tonya Creakman of Moore, OK, and Marcell Chronister of Fort Smith; a step-daughter, Debra Jones of Barling; a son, James Kendrick of Van Buren; four step-sons , David Isakson of Mountain Home, Jeffrey Isakson of Milton, FL, Daniel Isakson of Morrison, OK, and Scott Isakson of Fort Smith; three sisters, Vera of Utah, CA, Faye of Oroville, CA; and Mary of Russellville; a brother, Frank Kendrick of Van Buren; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Kendrick, Kolby Kendrick, Scott Isakson, Dustin Jeremiah, Ryan Reed, and Johnny Jones.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
