James Edward Breedlove, 85, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born May 27, 1937 in Hope to the late Charles and Goldie (Welch) Breedlove. He worked in car sales.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Verna McFadden and Dot Gilliam; and two brothers, Charles and Joe Breedlove.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Breedlove of the home; six daughters, Cindy Lamproe of Van Buren, Pamela Butler of Alma, Teresa Arnold of Kibler, Marla Harrell of Van Buren, Lisa Lee of Porum, OK, and Jaymie Breedlove of Checotah, OK; a son, Jimmy Breedlove of Lawton, OK; a stepdaughter, Brenda Richmond of Van Buren; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Antioch Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Butler, Lee Jones, Mack Harold, Preston Ramsey, Jimmie Lamproe, Jr., and Cory Arnold.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
