Sonny Stevens, 66, of Van Buren, AR, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in a local hospital. He was born December 28, 1944 in Fort Smith, AR. He was a retired fryer operator for Tyson Foods in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; two daughters, Melanie King of Van Buren, AR and Starlene Riley of Van Buren, AR; a son, Tommy McMellon of Van Buren, AR; two sisters, Marilyn Parsons of Fort Smith, AR and Goldie Williams of Fort Smith, AR; 6 grandchildren, Tyler McMellon, Madison McMellon, Timmy King, Joshua King, Ryan Cook and Jordan Cook.
Pallbearers will be Duane Riley, Kevin King, Tommy McMellon and Tyler McMellon.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
