Janet Marie Bradley, 66, of Bacliff, TX passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018. She was born January 2, 1952 in Houston, TX. She was a homemaker. Those who truly knew Janet, knew she was an angel sent from God and it seemed everyone who met Janet loved her. She was quick to share a smile, and offered kind words in passing to friends and strangers alike. She offered words of encouragement to those who needed it, and she was the kind of person who was known to do any and everything possible to help. She had a heart-felt compassion – unmatched – and considered it a gift from God. She was committed to offering her hands and heart to both children and animals of which she always adored. Janet was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 50 years, Jimmy H. Bradley; her parents, Ray and Karna Lee and Thelma and Archie Simmons; and a sister, Judy Hooks.
She is survived by a daughter, Regina Gosset; four sons, Jody “Big Daddy” Gosset, Joshua Bradley, Heath Davis, and Budrick “Bud” Bradley; a sister, Jeri Cheshire; her grandchildren, Christopher and Tracy Bradley, Jonathan Baker, Oren Thibodeaux, Alizabeth “Baby Angel” Gosset, Trevor and Kayla Ballard, and Jimmy, Joshua and Jayden Bradley; and great-grandchildren, Liliana Bradley, Leon Bradley, and Abbi and Kenna Ballard. In addition to a multitude of friends, Janet had numerous nieces and nephews of which she considered her very own.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Jody Gosset, Christopher Bradley, Jonathan Baker, Oren Thibodeaux, William Lain, and Charles Heath Davis.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
