John “Doug” Devers, 42, of San Antonio, Texas, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006. He was the Teamster Stuart for Jack Cooper Transport. He graduated from Mountainburg High School and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Kim of the home; one daughter, Megan Devers of the home; one son, Kyle Devers of the home; his parents, Janalou and Ross Devers of Alma, AR; one brother, Scott Devers of Owasso, OK.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 11, 2006 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Creekmore, Skip Crank, John Lyon, David Reck, Scott Devers, and Ross Devers.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
