June Wren, 90, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022. She was born August 27, 1931 in Camden to the late Voss and Effie (Higgs) Beard. She was a retired church secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church Van Buren, the Bond Special Extension Homemakers Club, and the Rena Road Extension Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wren; and a daughter, Melinda Bigelow.
She is survived by a son, Steve Woodson of Punta Gorda, FL; five grandchildren, Megan Rothwell of Fordyce; Brooke Loe of Fort Smith, Lauren Henrich of Little Rock, Katherine Woodson of Dallas, and Ellen Woodson of Bentonville; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Loe, Tatum Grace Loe, Bradynn Rothwell, Evelyn Naumann, Samantha Handloser, and Mattias Henrich.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Viewing will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
