

Laverna J. Keller, 97, of Kibler, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Alma. She was born in Kibler on July 11, 1919 to the late Eugene and Ethel Boatright. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Kibler Baptist Church where she was the pianist and a Sunday school teacher for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy S. “Jack” Keller; her stepmother, Jewel Boatright; a brother, James A. “Bud” Boatright; and a grandson, Dane Gregory.
Laverna leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Jacqueline Gregory and husband Robert of Kibler; a son, Steven Keller and companion Diane Moore of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Christian Moore of Los Angeles, Paul Gregory and wife Melissa of Kibler, and Timothy Gregory of Kibler; three nephews, James Boatright and wife Sharon, David Boatright and wife Paula, and Bobby Boatright, all of Cotter, AR, and a great-niece, Laurel Boatright of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service with the Reverend Bob Shelton officiating will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Crawford, David Crawford, David “Mike” Boatright, James Boatright, Robert Boatright, and Paul Gregory.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren. She may be viewed until the funeral hour.
