Martha Butler, 70, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born August 13, 1945 in Little Rock to the late Thayer and Marguerite Hendrickson. She was a Deputy City Clerk for 16 years for the City of Van Buren; a member of the First Presbyterian Church; and a full-time nanny.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Butler of the home; two daughters, Toni Lockhart and husband Andy of Van Buren, and Shannon Hutcheson of Van Buren; a stepdaughter, Robin Schultz of Alma; twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
