

Orley Austin Massena, 66, of Fort Smith, AR, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born January 13, 1946 in Parkin, AR to Claude and Dorothy Massena. He was co-owner of Professional Pest Control in Fort Smith, AR, was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity at ASU, where he played football. He enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, golf, and cheering on Arkansas State during football season.
He is survived by a daughter, Kendra Massena of Fort Smith, AR; a sister, Jeanie Thompson and her husband Wayne of Alma, AR; nephew and niece, Mike and Malinda McSpadden of Alma, AR; a nephew, Skip Thompson of Alma, AR and his business partner, Billy Ferguson.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren, AR with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Jim Dollar, John Pirpich, Mike Krauss, Kevin Cooper, Lynn Parnell, Dennis Zolpher and Doug Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Friends from Ava’s in Fort Smith, AR.
Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
