Patricia Ruth Rye

Patricia Ruth Palmer (Connelly) Rye, 91, of Uniontown, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was born March 27, 1933 in Maskell, NE to the late Charles Brian and Melvina Albertina (Anderson) Palmer. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grand, great-grand, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her smile, kind heart, delicious baked goods, food, excellent antique and thrift store shopping skills, painting, crafting, sewing and patternmaking, hugs, and entertaining conversations will be cherished and sorely missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, William (Riley) Cornelious and Florence Lucille (Thompson) Connelly, J.C. and Della Rye; her husband, Jerome Lee Connelly; brothers, Kenneth Allen and Terry Keith; sister, Carolyn Dee (David) Erie; children, Michael Jerome, Robert Brian, and Diane Lynn Connelly; stepson, Jason Wayne Rye (Carmen); son-in-law, Dennis Scott Stricklin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Riley William (Suzanne) Ament, Dennis Leroy (Fransetta DePue) Connelly, James D., Rose Marie (Royce) Duncan, Hershel (Linda Chavin), Daniel, John, Faye Allice (Joe) Martel, and David Rye; and nephews, Craig Connelly and David Brian Erie.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul Wayne Rye; children, Margaret Ann (Connelly) Stricklin, Colleen Marie (Connelly) Coesens (Larry), Vincent Lee Connelly (Theresa Caldwell); grandchildren, Daniel Lee Stricklin (Amber Scowden), Sarah Lynn Stricklin (Smith) Bearup, Melissa Beth Stricklin, Monica Diane (Connelly) McCollum (Michael), Forrest Riley Connelly, and Katie Ann-Marie Connelly; step-granddaughters, Angela Leigh (Stricklin) Buhrmester (Chris), Krystina Michelle (Cherry) Israel (Jason); step-grandson, Kevin Christopher Cherry; great-grandchildren, Daniell Marie (Stricklin) Banchoff (Devon); Chloe Lynn (Smith) Baumgart; Logan Scott Bearup, Adrianna Nicole (Primm) Lewis (Skeet), Sage Maryetta Primm, Arianna Leigh, Maverick Lee, Marshall Riley, and Camilla Rose Stricklin, Mavrick Vincent and Mia Lynn McCollum; step-great-grandchildren; Brynna Kaitlyn Buhrmester; and great-great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Jaxon, and Haisyn Banchoff; Ella and Liam Baumgart; and Henry Scott Lewis; and many, many loved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
