Peggy Joan Parks, 82, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her home. She was born March 30, 1934 in Van Buren to the late Floyd and Virginia Smith. She was a Loan Officer and Branch Manager for First Federal Bank, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren. She loved to travel with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Parks.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Garner and husband DeWayne of Van Buren; two sons, James Parks and wife Rita of Hackett, and Mike Parks and wife Judy of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Leslie Morlen, Ashley Parks, Jesse Macy, and Kris Parks, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Bobby Parks. Burial will be private at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, January 16, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
