

Rhonda Gale Overby, 55, of Van Buren, passed into the arms of her heavenly Father on Sunday, June 28, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cardiac cirrhosis and pulmonary hypertension. She was born February 11, 1960 in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent L. Overby; her father, J.C. Beckham; and a brother, John (Butch) Beckham.
She is survived by a daughter, Crystle Robison of Van Buren; a son, Austin Robison and wife Heather of Fort Smith; her mother, Allie Beckham of Van Buren; seven sisters, Jeanie Anderson and husband Herbie of Dora, Brenda Reed and husband Elmer of Fort Smith, Susie Brown and husband Greg of Lavaca, Becky Brammer and husband Roger of Fort Smith, Janelle Westphal and husband James of Rudy, Dana Linton of Rudy, and Carolyn Ballentine and husband John of Fort Smith; two brothers, Harrison Grant Beckham and wife Jenny of Van Buren, and Michael Wayne Beckham and wife Becky of Alma; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be brothers and sisters.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
A special thank you to her cardiologist, Dr. Donald Shows at the Mercy Heart Center for his kindness, compassion and always being there.
The family requests friends and family bring a red balloon to the service for release in celebration of her going home. Red for heart, of which she had a big one. She loved her children, her grandchildren, and life itself.
