Rev. Robert J. Perryman, 87, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 in a local hospital. He was born January 4, 1926 in Fort Smith to the late John and Edna Perryman. He was a retired Pastor for Jesus New Covenant Church in Van Buren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mae Perryman; a son, Jimmy Perryman; a step-mother, Belva Perryman; and a daughter-in-law, Angela Perryman.
He is survived by a daughter, Marsha Prince of Jonesboro; a son, Timothy Perryman of Van Buren; six sisters, Elwanda Ebel of Illinois, and Winnie Sullivan, Jean Perryman, Wilma Perryman, Martha Butler, and Shirley Poole of Arkansas; four brothers, Ralph Perryman of Texas, and Curtis Perryman, Charles Proctor, and Johnny Perryman of Arkansas; six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Barling Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
