

Sandra Patricia Gosnell, 69, of Alma, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born September 19, 1945 in Roswell, New Mexico to the late Jasper and Dorothy Landfair. She was a homemaker, a retired “Hostess with the Mostest” with Cracker Barrel in Alma, and was the first female mail carrier in the state of Arkansas in 1970. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth E. Landfair, and a grandson, A.J. Castillo
She is survived by her husband, Joe O. Gosnell of the home; a daughter, Tammy Gosnell Michael and husband Scott of Hartford; a son, Joe N. “Shorty” Gosnell of Siloam Springs; a sister, Judy Landfair Templeton of Kingston, TN; four grandchildren, Derrick Castillo and wife Elizabeth, Dee Castillo, Justin Gosnell and wife Sarah, Courtney Gosnell-Smith and husband Jake; numerous nieces and nephews; and several exchange students, Hardy, Rode, Sanna, Satu, Elaina and many others.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Castillo, Dee Castillo, Justin Gosnell, Jake Smith, Scott Michael, and Kenneth Landfair. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack, Russ, Tim, Leo, and Donnie, Glenda, Kendra, Trudy, Betty, Sherry, and Trish.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
