

She grew up attending Kibler Elementary School and later Van Buren High School before earning her GED.
Shannon was known for her kind, loving and humorous nature, often described as someone who would give the shirt off of her back to help others.
She had a fulfilling career as a transport driver, a job she dearly loved. She was dedicated to hauling dogs across different states. Her compassion for animals was evident not only in her career but also in her personal advocacy, suggesting that contributions in her memory be directed towards animal related charities.
She is survived by her father, J.W.; her mother, Donna Lively; her stepdad, Ron and her sibling David. She is also survived by her three nieces: Ashley, and her son Payton, Kenzie, and her two children, Grayson and Gia and Kayla, and her son, Brock.
Shannon also found spiritual nourishment by attending her aunt’s church, further highlighting her community ties and personal beliefs.
A memorial service was held at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren on Friday, August 2, 2024. The service, attended by family and friends, included heartfelt stories shared by Sue Newton, celebrating Shannon’s vibrant life.
The funeral home assisted with the arrangements ensuring a dignified commemoration of her life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to organizations dedicated to animal welfare, honoring Shannon’s lifelong passion for animal care.
