Troy Stanford, 90, of Rudy, AR, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 in his home. He was born September 20, 1920 in Yoestown Community, AR. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Army, he retired from the army after 23 years and served in WW II and Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Amy Stanford; three sisters, Lois Temple, Ola Mae Powell and Jessie Spoon; and two brothers, David and Billy Stanford
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ella Mae; a daughter, Carol Steward of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Mary Ruth Hale of Rudy, AR; a grandson, Lance Steward of Glenpool, OK; and two great grandchildren, Ella and Cole Steward of Glenpool, OK.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 14, 2011 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
