

Virginia Turner Owens, 84, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2014. She was born January 15, 1930 in the Haroldton Community to the late James and Lora Parks. She was a retired apartment manager, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Catcher Freewill Baptist Church, and was known as Granny Ha-Ha by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Turner.
She is survived by four daughters, Darlene Oden and husband Eddie of Rudy, Donna Turner of Van Buren, Janice Davis and husband Jim of Cedarville, and Jean Morton and husband Mark of Cedarville; a son, Bill Turner, Jr. and wife Carol of Mulberry; a sister, Clovie Edwards of Alma; a brother, Delmar Parks of Muldrow; eighteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bobby Sevenstar, Daniel Oden, Cody Turner, Dustin Powell, Taylor Evans, and August Inklebarger. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
