Wilford O. Arnold

Wilford O. Arnold, 75, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born November 26, 1948 in Altadena, CA. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and was a retired accountant. He graduated in 1966 from Van Buren High School, and received his degree from Arkansas Tech University.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Arnold and Margaret Moore; and a brother, W.L. Arnold.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Arnold of the home; a stepson, John C. Wells (Carolyn) of Rogers; a sister, Debra Crouch of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Roma Arnold of Van Buren; three step-grandchildren, John B. Wells, Harper Wells, and Hayden Wells.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Van Buren with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Rob Crouch, Chris Crouch, Ricky Woole, Eric Woole, Greg Crawford, and Charles Lolley.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and administration of Valley Springs Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
