William Floyd Boen

William Floyd Boen, 88, of Van Buren, passed from this life Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Van Buren. He was born January 12, 1926 in Boxley, AR to the late Lum and Ruby Boen. He was a farmer, and attended Sunnyside Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna “Sue” Boen, and a daughter, Joyce Beckham.

He is survived by a daughter, Lola Black and husband Gary of Van Buren; three sons, William Boen and wife Sheryl of Lavaca, Jack Boen and wife Sheila of Alma, and Mark Boen of Van Buren; a sister, Virginia Hensley of Washington; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Black, Steven Black, Jason Boen, Joel Boen, Nathan Boen, and Charles Henson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Dumond, Eddie Black, Eric Black, and Donnie Chronister.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
