William Johnson

William D. Johnson, 90, of Natural Dam, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born December 24, 1926 in Fort Smith to the late Ed and Elsie Johnson. He was in the U.S. Army for 40 years and worked at OG&E for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Johnson; sister, Vena Porter and brother, Raymond Johnson.

He is survived by four sons, David DeMichel “Mike” Johnson of Dallas, TX, Stephen Randall Johnson and his wife Donna of Seneca, MO, Daniel Dean Johnson and his wife Marsha of Mountainburg, John “Stacy” Johnson and his wife Stephanie of Ozark, AR; two sisters, Freda Patterson of Fort Smith and Dorothy Stallard of Cabot, AR; 9 grandchildren, Crystal, Shawn, Ryan, Kevin, Tyler, Colton, Casey, Carrington, and Kaylee Johnson and 10 great grandchildren, Aubrie, Jordyn, Kaelynn, Addison, Sydney, Brody, Gabriel, Hunter, Sutton Grace Johnson and Ryan Rice.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Grandview Assembly of God Church in Natural Dam with burial to follow at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
