William Floyd Tipton, 93, of Alma, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Van Buren. He was born June 13, 1923 in Mansfield to the late Melvie and Birdy Tipton. He retired from Acme Brick after more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Bonnie Tipton of the home; a daughter, Phyllis Miller of Fort Smith; a son, Roy Tipton and wife Cathy of Fort Smith; two sisters, Vena Sattazahn of Alma, and Luler Goines of Owasso, OK; a brother, Mitchell Tipton of Van Buren; four grandchirdren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Robin Kuykendall, Tom Wofford, Lance Williams, Clifford Mongold, Marvin Richisin and Jesse Moses.
