Cruz was a woman who embraced life with joy, strength, and style. She loved dancing, especially zapateados, and had a deep appreciation for horses, beautiful jewelry, cooking, and dressing elegantly in high heels. She was an avid fan of Kobe Bryant and enjoyed listening to the timeless music of Vicente Fernández. Her warmth, laughter, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Melissa Ceballos, Susana Ceballos, Emily Chavez, and Maritza Ceballos; and her sons, Alejandro Zavala and Christopher Zavala.
Cruz was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leopoldo Chavez and Petra Chavez.
She is also survived by her sisters, Rebeca Rodriguez, Raquel Arreguin, Claudia Chavez, Neredia Chavez, and Karina Chavez; and her brother, Gilberto Chavez. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leopoldo Chavez and Chuy Chavez.
Cruz was a proud and devoted grandmother to Leo Sandro Trejo, Miah Trejo, Adalyn Valdez, Jose Valdez, Joseph Gil, Sebastian De la Cruz, Samantha De la Cruz, Kimberly Gil, Britney Torres, Kaitlyn Torres, Kassandra Torres, Farrah Zavala, Nolan Zavala, Desiree Zavala, and Layla Zavala. Her grandchildren brought her immense pride and happiness, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Cruz will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and the many friends whose lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
