Alice Ngai

Born on April 21, 1948, in Seria, Brunei, to Keng Ong and Yock Heng, Alice spent her childhood in Brunei and went on to pursue a variety of professions. She earned a fashion design certification from the Bee Gey Tailoring Institution in 1964, followed by a teaching certificate from Brunei Teachers College in 1969. In 1974, she immigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada via London, England, and later worked as an office administrator until her retirement in 2009.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, Keng Ong and Yock Heng, and her husband, Arnold. She is survived by her son, Ernest and her daughter, Adrienne (Daniel). She is also survived by her sister, Sharon (Raymond); her brother, Johnson (Christine); as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and extended family.

Alice will always be dearly loved and remembered for her warm, caring, and generous heart, as well as her unwavering dedication to supporting her parents, grandparents, and children while facing significant challenges throughout her life. We are eternally and profoundly grateful for Alice’s love, faith, strength, courage, and deep devotion to her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 am at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, located at 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC.
