Andre George Normandin

While growing up, he enjoyed baseball, wrestling, hockey, reading, playing pool, bowling, and playing cards.

Andre became a butcher which was his lifelong occupation. Andre married Gertrude in July of 1949 and celebrated 53 years of marriage before her passing in 2002. They had 3 children, Joann, Carole and Jasmine. They lived in Montreal but moved to BC when he was 47 years old. His interest continued to be the same as those of his youth. He had two grandchildren Andrea and Kelly and was a great granddad to Duncan, Calum, Fraser and Eilidh. He was raised as a Catholic but didn’t practice it. He believed in heaven and Jesus. He referred to God as “The Boss”. He was positive and at peace with his faith.

Unfortunately, Andre’s life journey ended in Buchanan Lodge, his home of almost three years, on September 14, 2024.
